FELT GINGERBREAD HOUSES & DISCOVERY BOTTLE IDEAS

Look at these cute gingerbread houses we made out of felt in class this week!!

We had so much fun decorating them! Everything is interchangeable except the little circles or sprinkles, the kiddos glued those on. They loved choosing the colors & shapes. We did this for an hour a few days this week! I’m sure next week we’ll make even more. **The gingerbread men we did NOT make. They came from a finger play we had from a while back.**

In addition to the houses, we made Frosty, a candy cane, a menorah & a Christmas tree. Next week we will be learning about Kwanzaa, so we will add a Kinara, a Unity Cup & an African flag. Hanukkah is the following week so we will make a Star of David & a dreidel, then for Christmas we will make a Santa Claus & maybe some reindeer :)
Here they are on our big shelf felt board. So much fun & so easy to make!
And surprise, surprise! I switched some of our discovery bottles.. We added cut up tinsel:
Floating foam snowflakes…
Marbles… they had so much fun putting them in the bottle:
and colored sand…

I hope you enjoyed checking out our fun little holiday preview. More to come!! (:
