3 Fun Food Art Snack Ideas
If your kids are like mine, they LOVE snacking. They snack literally all day. It kind of drives me crazy, but they probably learned it from me so I guess I really can’t complain, hahaha. Recently, we’ve been making snack time even more fun by creating cute “food art” scenes. Today I’m sharing 3 fun food art snack ideas that would be great for after school & are sure to make your little ones smile! Ok, first off, where did summer go & how is it back to school ALREADY?!? It seriously flew by. Anyways, while I typically don’t have time to put together a snack like this on the daily, it’s still a fun thing to do every so often! Whether it’s celebrating back to school, a birthday, a holiday, or whatever, you can create your own scenes with food you already have in your pantry.
To make it extra fun for kiddos, you can even put the ingredients out & let your littles create their own snack! Read on to see what snack food art scenes we did & how you can make your own!
Dinosaur Food Art
It’s no secret that my kiddos LOVE dinosaurs– if you’ve seen my IG/IG stories, you probably already know this, haha. To make this dinosaur food art, we used:
- A banana for the head/neck, tail & legs
- Biscotti for the body
- Lekkco Dark Chocolate Spread (heated slightly, so it was easy to drizzle on)
- Veggie straws for the tree
- Almonds for the ground
Fish Food Art
How cute is this fish food art!? It’s super simple to make & takes no time at all. Here’s what we used:
- Uncrustables for the body
- Sliced strawberries for fins & lips
- Blueberries for the bubbles
- Cheerio for the eye
- Veggie straws for seaweed
Owl Food Art
I’m obsessed with this adorable little owl! To make the food art owl, I used:
- Pancake (I used the Kodiak Protein Pancakes)
- Lekkco Dark Chocolate Spread for feathers (super tedious, just spread it on there & call it a day, haha)
- Banana Slices for eyes
- Blueberries for eyes
- Waffle pretzels for wings, beak, feet, & ears
- Veggie straws for the tree
I hope this inspires you to make your own food art snacks! If you try these, be sure to tag me on social media so I can see :) For more fun kiddo activities check out my post on Reindeer Brownies. Thanks for stopping by!
